K5 Graduation

What a morning, by the time we finally made it home I think we were all ready to call it a day.  I had Brayden's Kindergarten program on the calender for some time but did not realize how big a deal this day really was.  We dropped off Becca for her very last day of preschool then headed to the cafeteria for some muffins and coffee before sitting down in the auditorium.  I did remember to go in a save and seat-yes I have learned you need to be early and at this point joining the masses and saving seats is not going to kill me...and I can see my kid.  By 9am we were all seated along with the rest of the elementary kids all awaiting the kindergartners.  They marched on in to a very fun song and the fun began.  The kids sang, recited scripture and said what they thought they might be when they grow up. James was very sleepy but was bound and determined to clap every time the audience did.   I have to say I was not too into a graduation for kindergartners....aren't they just starting???  But I have to say the program was soo special and reminded me how important it is to begin training their minds at this early age. After the program we met them in the cafeteria for a little more mingling time...of course lots of pictures.  Would you think to bring gifts??? Well, I felt like one of the few who didn't even have flowers (I think the parents do more work during the year at this point!)-good thing Brayden is a boy and didn't seem to mind. Anyway, we were off to Bounce U for his class party minus the two little ones who were happy to be dropped off at a friends house..thank goodness for friends!  After picking up the kids and Becca at school we all headed back home.  It is hard to believe the school year is coming to an end-the kids are getting older and I love seeing them grow in stature and their heart.  Thanks to some wonderful teachers this year who helped  implement God's teaching all year long in all they did!

The Best K5 teacher!  Mrs Stubblefield was able to get Brayden reading and still keep him interested in the classroom!

Being silly with Friends waiting for the program to begin.

Looking for his picture-in a cap and gown taking earlier.

Brayden's faithful supporter.

Each Class has a board with each child's baby pic and then a current photo-a bunch of cute baby's

The teacher preferenced this scripture recitation by saying that even though this sounds pretty wrote...it helps the children learn God's word and helps them have a basic knowledge of the Christain faith even at a young age which hopefully helps lead their heart when their mind has questions about becoming a Christian.
