Family Reunion. Estes Park Colorado

SHOUT FOR JOY
THE LORD IS GOOD
HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER
HIS FAITHFULNESS CONTINUES THROUGH ALL GENERATIONS

The week finally came.  The planning and waiting was a long time but it was all worth the anticipation!!  School was out and we headed to the YMCA in Estes Park for a family reunion.  It was the perfect vacation for everyone.  It is hard to put it all into words the week and our time together.  In short it was the perfect location to celebrate family, health and faith.  There was always something to do or beauty to be enjoyed.  I will be sorting through photo's and video for a while but these are some collages pulling some of our moments together.

Lodging was at the YMCA-perfect for everyone.

We were never short on activities...there was something for everyone.  The only activities missing is the pool-no pictures allowed.

More activities...did I say fun for all ages!

Lots of time spent at the horse barn.  Hay ride, pony rides, two hour ride into the National park...lots of fun-even with some rain/storms.

Survivor games...challenges through-out the week.  Obstacle challenges, puzzles, fire making, team cheers were all part of the fun.

And most of all...lots of time hanging out with family, coming together each day to remember God's blessings in song, prayer and God's word.

The view each morning at breakfast.

Full Swing of Summer

School finished and I think we all decided to take a break, including myself.  The summer is rolling by and wonderful...sad to say I am not going well in keeping up with the pictures.  I have all I can do to just keep up with life these days.  Summer is great but it doesn't leave a lot of down time without kids and when things do quiet down usually I am headed to my bed!!  We have had a beyond wonderful trip Estes Park CO-lots of pictures and updating will have to come later.  The younger kids have completed their swimming lessons and made big strides in learning new strokes.  Our pool has been full on most days as there is not much else to do but invite friends over to swim with all the heat we have been having.  Last week all but James headed off to camp...I love the kids but it was pretty nice to just hang with James.  He is the game king and we played plenty-his favorite is monopoly Empire.  Now kids are home, we still haven't gotten a good start on our summer reading or math review-how do the weeks go by and still we fall behind!  somehow we will conquer it before school starts!

Becca tackled a 3V3 soccer tournament the day before camp.  Way too hot but they stuck it out and managed a second place win.  So fun to watch her play.

James took a little bit to adjust to just being the only kid last week.  We made a stop at bathtub rocks on our way home from camp.  His week was full with friends, movies, games and bowling-totally spoiled.

and because we have nothing better to do.....
