Visalia, California

I finally made it out to see the new little baby! Little Emily is so very cute and tiny. It is hard to remember my kids at this age. Her skin is so soft and she is just a little ball. Sharon and Kevin are so easy going and things are pretty quiet at the house even with a new born. The flights went great and Andrea was perfect, a little loud at times but she managed to fall asleep which made for some nice flights.

Sharon and I have been just relaxing, enjoying a morning walk with the kids, both of whom fell fast asleep on the way back to the house. We enjoyed lunch at a friends house and Andrea had fun playing the with kids and toys. I think she wonders where all the kids are. She loves the cat, although I think fuzzywinks would prefer a little less attention from her. She is pretty nice because she has learned not to bug too much as our cat has hissed pretty good at her when she has gotten a little too aggressive with her play.

We enjoyed watching the opening Olympics on the big screen TV. I do have so say I didn't make the entire ceremony and missed the USA walking in. We all thought the entire production was a little much and spent most of the time trying to figure out what they were doing and how they were doing it.

Emily is sleeping, feeding great. She is a wonderful baby-loves to be held and rocked....the perfect first baby. This morning Sharon and Kevin managed with both kids while I ran, didn't seem like a big deal to them and there were even pancakes waiting at the house when I got back. We are having a great time, Andrea is doing well with the big time change, sleeping a little more during the day and a little less at night but nothing too terrible. We miss the rest of our family but with the trip being so short we will see them soon enough.
