TULSA STATE FAIR

Watching chicken hatch....facinating!

Andrea had no fear.

I had told myself last year that I was never going to go to the fair again. Well, it was that time again and after a year I thought, why not? Turned out that even though a year had passed it was the same old story, tons of people, long lines, crying kids. But if you ask the kids they will tell you they had a blast. Becca entered the gates and the only thing she talked about was CANDY, she has one sweet tooth. We watched a little tiger/cat show which the kids enjoyed, although once Becca figured out they might take one of the tigers out she didn't want to sit in the front row anymore. We did enjoy walking though the barns. Both kids were fascinated with the cows and all the moooing. Becca was walking though the barns mooing back. In the car right home she was telling us all about how she talked back to the cows. Brayden was impressed with the Bulls and the big ring in their noses. Andrea's favorite thing of the evening was the petting zoo. If she could have jumped into the goat pen I think she would have been happy for the rest of the night. She loved the animals and would scream until you basically put her face into the pen. She watched so closely and when Ron put her down she looked at Becca and Brayden feeding with a shovel and promptly picked one up as if she knew just what she was doing, what a big girl.

Then we hit the rides, which Brayden had been waiting for since we entered-I on the other hand dread this part of the fair experience! So after riding the carousel (I had to pry Andrea off her horse) and a couple other rides we decided to call it quits. The kids had fun but too stressful explaining to them why they are not tall enough to ride certain rides. We ended the evening with some cotton candy, which Becca inhaled by the hand full and some ice-cream which everyone enjoyed.

It was quite an experience and one I don't need to do again for a while. Beside for some sweet potato fries and a milk shack the best part of the evening was seeing the smiles on the kids faces, and that is the only reason I might be willing to go again...in a year!

The kids could have stood here for an hour.

You can't see it but this is the bull with the ring in its nose-pretty interesting to Brayden
