Today was a rainy day and so we decided to put it to good use. After a great game of chutes and ladders-good because there were no tears involved. Ron picked up our new bunk beds and for most of the day he, with some help from the rest of us, put them together. The kids helped for about 10 minutes then were busy with just about everything else but being helpers. They managed a fort in the closet, a sticker fest not just on paper but on themselves, movie complete with popcorn...the house was quite a wreck by the day's end. The beds are great and I am actually more concerned about Becca falling out of the lower bed than the upper bed. They make them so secure it is almost like a crib on top.
So tonight we have all three kids sleeping in the same room-crazy but they all want to be there and that makes for a big bargaining chip as for making sure no one gets out of bed! So things are amazingly QUIET, first time today! Becca was back to her normal chatty self after a long day yesterday filled mostly with tears. Today on the way back from dinner Brayden looked over at Becca and told her to be quiet, no more talking. Becca sat there for a moment in the quiet and dark and then asked, "what you do'in Brayden? I think Brayden was half asleep and just wanted a moment of peace. She is so funny to listen to and full of some great hugs today.
I can't believe this little girl, she followed everyone up like no big deal. The ladder will not be up during the day!
