Another Day

Today was one of those days when I was just amazed at how big Andrea is getting. She is wearing some of Becca's clothes from last year. I still can clearly remember dressing Becca and now I see Andrea. She is understanding commands and is always right in the middle of the kids play-even if it involves some wrestling. I don't want her to grow up any faster than she is but it would be nice if she would talk. Instead of doing some basic signs that she did at some point in time now she has taken up the high pitch scream. It seems to work very well even with Becca and Brayden. Today she spent most of her play time putting little wooden disks on a dowel. It is amazing how they figure it out. Every now and then I could hear her get frustrated and then here she would come hand out with the disk she couldn't do...she wanted me to do it for her. Crazy the things they figure out.

Besides for the typical play, nap and eat the day was very uneventful. Brayden was excited to find his remote control truck so we charged the battery all day. They had fun driving it tonight-Andrea had fun chasing it and screaming at the truck.

The kids continue to all sleep in the same room, it is not working out very well for nap time but evenings have been going okay and the mornings have not been too early. Andrea gets woken up a little earlier than normal but at least it is not 6am so I am okay.

One funny little thing about Becca. The rule is that after you are in bed you can't get up. Brayden is always first to break the rule and usually ends up bearing the consequences of his decision to get up. Becca is always laying in her bed, wide awake but rarely gets out of bed, mainly just to go potty. These past couple weeks I realized that she takes that rule pretty seriously when I would go to bed and walk past her door and there would be her sippy cup in the doorway-empty. So cute, she knew not to get out so she just lays it there hoping it is refilled-and it works because the three times I have found it I refill and lay it right back next to her, what a little sweetie.
