4.3.2.1.....LET'S GO

So another weekend has gone by. It is hard to believe that it is Sept. The kids seems to grow and change every day. The conversations that they have sometime amaze me, mostly just make me laugh or yell. On Fri Brayden came home for school and after a little down time I found him working hard at the kitchen table with his paper and crayons. I didn't know what he was doing, but he was focused. He would quickly draw a face on paper then run to the bathroom and try to hang it on the door. There are some nails from previous owners and he would be standing there on a chair, sticking it on the nail, like a sign. I then hear him informing Becca that the bathroom with the sign means that it is for the boys. Becca promptly starting crying as she didn't know where to go to the bathroom. After a little convincing Brayden agreed to make my the bathroom in our bedroom the girls bathroom. It was so cute to hear him explain to Becca that that was the girls bathroom. Becca was very serious and the rest of the day would only use the girl bathroom-way in the back of the house. So, if you come to our house you will see a sign on all three of the bathroom and you better make sure you are going in the correct one!
Well, last night Ron and I arrived back home after getting to watch a movie, only to arrive to receive a bad report on Brayden. Turned out he wouldn't go to bed for the sitter and did a lot of fit throwing. I don't know what the deal is but about every other month we seem to have a session of time where he try's to push all my buttons and rules! I was so angry but couldn't do a thing as he was sleeping. Today he awoke to a not very happy mommy and found out that because of his behavior he had lost all TV for the day. Not that big of a deal but no morning cartoons was a big one. I actually think it was more painful for me as I needed to get up instead of being able to turn on the TV and climb back into bed for another hour. I am hoping he has learned his lesson, and if he hasn't, Becca sure has, as poor girl had to go without TV as a result of her brother's attitude.
This week marks the beginning of bible studies and continuation of school. The days go fast but the kids are having a hard time adjusting to a busier schedule. Both are crabby and Brayden has had a hard time dealing with his emotions. I AM SO MAD, I AM JUST SO ANGRY, I WILL NOT TALK TO YOU BECAUSE YOU MAKE ME MAD. I DON'T LIKE YOU. These are just some of the words I heard today come from my son's mouth, when just the other day he came up to me and told me I was cute and wanted to know it that made my heart happy. I am trying to remember to take deep breaths and walk aways before I yell! Along with Andrea waking up for some reason in the middle of the night we are all needing a little calm in our life. Sat evening we sat at a park and listened to some local band and just got to relax-something we need to do more often, it is a good thing to take a time out from life in my opinion!

Okay I have heard this commercial twice will sitting here and laughed hard both time. Laughter is great-catch the AIG commercial with the baby laughing with paper or something...his laughter is contagious!

Your story about Brayden and the bathrooms is hilarious. I often wish there was a girls bathroom in my house since I'm the only girl. I can totally relate to discipline issues. Believe me - you are not alone.
