Winter Days

The past couple of days we have spent a lot of time inside.  The snow has melted and with it the excitement of playing outdoors.  The kids have been inside for two days straight-it's just freezing and I think they are about to combust with energy.  Becca has reverted to talking baby talk, which she is convinced baby James understands (if I hear her say GOO GOO one more I might flip!).  She is beyond goofy and has spent most of her time inside giggling....sounds funny but she has no limits and by the end of the day goes CRAZY.  Having all three kids in the bathroom brushing their teeth has become a HUGE problem, okay maybe not for the kids who seem to have a grand old time but for us adults-severely out numbered it has definitely become a problem.  Now....do we have the patience to teach them to all get along and leave the bathroom in a somewhat functioning order, or do we just cave in and send them in one at a time?  I am not sure although I am not ready to start bedtime right after dinner which the later might entail.
   We have had plenty time to read which has been nice, we are actually making headway in the kids Bible Blast and Brayden has read his school reading book the required three times....and it's not even Monday morning (yes, he has had to read before heading off in the morning).  We are having plenty fun working our way through the book series Captian UnderPants, okay-silly and crazy, I really can't believe I am ready this stuff but the kids love to sit and listen.  Also, the kids have about emptied out our computer paper, they love working on crafts which usually means lots of cutting, taping, and the past couple days glitter, which is now all over the kitchen table. oh, and did you know that you can play WALKING tag?? I guess I have yelled NO RUNNING a lot because when I asked them what they were playing yesterday they told me walking tag....it looked no different than regular tag and so it was banned as well.  I have given up regulating TV/computer/movie/Wii time...I am thinking that there will be a time for that but right now just isn't it...hmmmm, it might be because I just feel like reading!  So tomorrow we start another week, back at school, back to the routine.  I have not missed it too much and I don't think the kids have either.  Although we do love our time together, I dare say we are all needing a little break so I will pass off the kids to the teachers tomorrow and pray they don't drive them crazy!

This was Becca's big creation yesterday, she made a gymnastics course on her princess home.  Her complaint tonight...brought to me by Andrea-Becca is scared of the talking toilets???  So much for Captain UnderPants!

 This little guy is a whole other story-he is just a mess, poor little guy.  James is fighting a bad cold and I think teething all at the same time.  You basically look at him and you will get slimed-he is having such a hard time breathing/sleeping.  I am praying he feels better soon-his little face is such a mess.
