BIRTHDAY BOY

Today Brayden was up bright and early, but didn't realize that today was his party day until he ripped up his last link on his chain, he got such a big grin on his face! Ron started the fun by getting all of us donuts-including sprinkles/apple fritters and even a fresh glazed right from the oven. Grandpa and Grandma Haveman had driven up yesterday and were up for all the fun. the kids were soooo excited, Becca just runs/jumps around the house showing off. Brayden spent much of the morning tiring out Grandpa by playing tennis-mostly just making Grandpa chase all his balls. By noon most of his little buddies/friends had arrived and we all had lunch. Brayden was so ready to eat and have sprite(actually diet coke, but he called it sprite). His party was a baseball party so we all headed out to the drive way to play a little ball. Brayden had so much fun running the bases. He friends had fun playing on every outdoor toy we had managed to get out in the front yard. Every car that passed the house had a driver or passenger staring out the window at all the fun/chaos going on in the yard. Bikes/scooters/ basketball/tennis/baseball....and kids running everywhere, what fun. We all got to sing happy birthday and Brayden managed to get all the candles on the cake blown out. He felt like his was king for the day. After opening some very fun presents we ending the party with a pinata. The kids all had fun hitting and trying to get the big baseball to break. We finally managed with a nice big wooden baseball bat-you can imagine how that went in the house with 9 little ones around. We did manage to survived with no injuries or broken furniture.

It was quite a day. Becca ate at least 2o Tootsie rolls-such a sweet tooth, she never put her candy bag down, unlike Brayden who was more concerned with playing games with everyone. Andrea was her happy self and very entertained with all the commotion surrounding her.

Happy early birthday Brayden--4 years old!!! It looks like he was having sooooo much fun. I would have been joining Becca by the candy :) You are brave with the pinata--when I am done teaching I will be glad to be done with those!
