This weekend has been packed full! Sunday was the kid's Bible Blast party, always a big hit as it is at their leader's house complete with pond, tramps, water balloons and horses. We made a quick stop at our baby sitter's open house and the kids ended up swimming in her pool first. Seeing all the teenagers at her house and then my kids made me realize how fast these school years are going to go by. She has been the best this past year and it was so sweet to see James go to her and give her a big hug. We ended the day Sunday scrubbing in the shower, trying to get all the pond scum off the kids. I am so thankful for clean water and soap!! We always think about staying around and working on Memorial Day but once again it was a fleeting thought-fine with me! Ron woke up super early and hit the road, biking 76miles to Green leaf State park. I slept in and drove with the kids meeting him a little bit before noon. Yeah for Ron! still standing and still able to have a fun day with everyone. Thankfully we had some friends willing to hang out with us for the day, always nice as the kids disperse a little more and fighting seems to go way down-lots more fun! Brayden fished endlessly, along with Joshua who was just as determined to catch a fish without a hook, he has his casting perfected! James and his buddy Oliver and just silly together-amazing two, two year olds getting along each making each other laugh and some how always understanding each other. Becca, Katherine and Andrea loved the water although Andrea didn't last quite as long. Becca is a little water bug and loved playing with the tubes. It was a great day, mid afternoon lunch of some yummy picnic food and we ended up not leaving till early evening. As we were driving out we past the playground and the kids all whined about not even getting to play! Such a nice day away. Just a couple pictures from Green leaf, some how I am not doing such a good job at taking pictures-missed our BB party this year.
Just a little ride, no turtle caught on this trip although they did spot a water snake! James just enjoyed chilling out-he managed the day without a nap...not always the greatest thing for a two year old!
These two little ones were just too cute, Brayden could resist popping into the picture.
The bunch minus Noah-such a great group of kids.
I think the only one who got to rest in the hammock was Ron. None of the little ones would sleep-even if it looked like the best place to hang out and take a nap.
I guess he deserved a little rest, although I think he was just avoiding all the activity behind him.
Guess who loves watermelon just as much as his big brother and daddy??
