Lucy Goosy had her babies (named by Andrea)!!! Okay, we have been watching this silly goose sit on her nest for the past three weeks. We call her silly because she made her next 5 feet off our busy road on a stump. She has been on her nest rain/shine. We see her every time we turn out of our neighborhood..which is a lot. Even James knows to yell duck and egg when we pass her. Well, today was the big day. This morning we didn't notice anything new just her sitting proudly but on our way to school pick-up we saw a little fluffy head sticking out of the nest. Such excitement!! Funny how much fun we have had watching her and her eggs. It has been a good lesson for the kids in commitment-seeing as she is always there, even in the hot sun and the terrible storms...even the kids sense her dedication.
This was momma goose back around Brayden's birthday... always sitting proud.
This was today, we saw the little one walking around on the stump but didn't realize she had more tucked away underneath her. (over the past weeks people have been throwing bread to her and now some water containers have appeared)
They kept popping out, I think she has four but it is hard to tell.
