Biking

Our house if now fully equipped to keep up with the Tulsa heat-added a double bonus of keeping the kids entertained for a couple of days.

Today we woke up to sunshine and warm temps. We headed out as soon as we got Brayden off to school on our morning walk, something we have not been able to do with out getting wet or being cold. Today was Becca's big biking day. We walked the neighborhood loop twice-meaning up a big hill twice. Becca rode the entire way, yes she does trail behind and needs to be reminded to put some speed to her pedals but she kept on motoring. She loves to look at all the different leaves, sticks, houses, dogs......really anything and she gets slower and slower. She must have enjoyed being out as much as I because she stuck to it and I didn't have to pull/push her to get her back to the house. Then, tonight we decided to bike to walmart, about half a mile down the road. Becca usually rides in the pull behind but today she informed us that she could bike there ALL BY HERSELF! So we put on her helmet and off we went, or I should say off went Ron and Brayden and Becca and myself brought up the rear. It was so much fun, she has two speeds-slow and super fast. She only fell off the curb once and she talked the entire time. She would give big yells when she went over bumps and just giggle. I have no clue what she was saying the whole time but I could just see her helmet going side to side as she talked. She did the entire ride, there and back without any tears-a shock considering she had no nap and we spent a good amount of time at a very interactive playground. She is such a cutie, biking along in her little skort flying in the wind, talking as if she doesn't have a care in the world and could care less if she was almost a quarter mile behind Ron and Brayden.

A sad note....the nice day was short lived and we are again having big storms tonight, I think about 19 days of rain in a row! BRING ON THE SUN.
