This is where we found ourselves last night. All crammed into the only room that doesn't have windows that we are able to fit into-the kids bathroom. Ron and I had enjoyed an evening away from the kids, the entire time we were out Ron was watching the weather, on his phone as it rolled across the state. It was nice that is was moving slow enough that we were still able get in dinner and a movie. By the time we finally settled down for the night the storm kicked in. It didn't really seem all that bad-it had been super windy all day so the wind gusts we not too shocking. BUT the sirens had to go off, so Ron went to get Becca, as she sleeps right under a window and I watched the weatherman on TV. Next thing I hear the weatherman say is-WAKE UP THE KIDS, GET THEM OUT OF BED AND INTO A SAFE ROOM. I am not from this area as you all know and this just freaks me out! So we get blankets/pillows and all pile into the not so clean kids bathroom. Brayden and Becca were dead to the world and took a while to figure out why they were in the bathroom and not their cozy beds. Andrea thought we were having a party and was jumping and screaming and just in general going crazy. Ephie, who has lately decided she is not a fan of the OK storms was also trying to squish her way in as well-she was booted to the hallway!
Thankfully the storms, some tornados were mostly south of us and we had to only endure the bathroom till about 12:30. What a night. The girls managed to go back to sleep. Brayden spent the night in our room-I think he is beginning to understand the severity of tornado's, even if we do try to make it all game.
