CHRIST HAS RISEN
Both kids were able to say this today, although understanding the Easter story was still a little stretch. We have been talking about the Easter story for much of this week, and while both kids understood that Jesus died and is now alive, neither understood why he died. Today during our walk around our neighborhood we spotted a cross someone had put up in their yard. We again had the conversation of the death of Jesus-why..why..why. Trying to explain sin, our human nature in terms a 3 year old understand just was not working. After going past a couple more houses Brayden decided on his own solution, "I am a super hero, so Jesus doesn't have to die mommy..SUPER HERO" So much for understanding that Jesus died to save us from our sins.
Becca's new word out of this holy week was Hosanna. She was not feeling too well this morning and ended up going to church with us. Amazingly we made it through the entire service. I was just happy to have Ron in church with me this year. Drilling must be on schedule with Easter and similar to last year he had to head out to a cold trailer to, as Brayden say's-find oil, to make money.
I close with the Phrase I was taught from my Mom and my Grandpa, one that makes everything in this world that may worry us fade away.
HE HAS RISEN INDEED
