Today the kids got to go on their first Easter Egg Hunt. It was a beautiful day but by evening it was a little cool. Becca ran full out to get eggs as soon as they let her age group go. She was very cute, because you could just see her mind think-why am I collecting all these silly eggs?? she then promptly sat down and started opening her eggs, all the while kids running by her collecting more eggs. Brayden just scooped and scooped till his bucket was full. Much of the eggs were filled with CANDY-Becca's favorite, she had suckers, smarties, star bursts, sweet tarts..all in the car before we even made it to the house (yes, mommy just lets her enjoy, she has my sweet tooth). Brayden was more interested in making a collection of some little Easter balls-taking all Becca's to make his collection even bigger. What fun, friends Hudson, Mason, Eva and families were also there. Andrea enjoyed the entire event from the stoller-all cozy warm. I think the kids are going to have to watch their Story Keepers Video-The Real Easter story a few more times to combat all the secular Easter traditions!
Yes, these are actual flowers blooming in our front yard. So beautiful to see after the Winter season.
