When do we get quiet evenings??

So I thought since we are past the screaming baby stage that our evening would be pretty mellow....maybe even quiet enough that I could slip away for a little walk.  With the events of late I am beginning to think that this is some fantasy that will always be out of reach in this house hold.  Seems that bedtime brings out all the problems..many I could not even come up with in regards to prevention.
Last night James stepped on a tack...which I never found.  Having a tired three year old with blood dripping from his foot is just as bad as a screaming baby.  He found himself propped up in bed, band aid and blanket carefully placed, which really didn't help. All the while Brayden is trying to work on his Bible study with James crying out like he is dying every five minutes.  I don't think Brayden will have many deep thought to share this week!
Andrea is regressing, I am hoping due to diet issues and we are back to multiple baths and now heat pads to help her bottom aches that just magically start once she touches the bed, I am beginning to think I should let her sleep on the couch as see what happens!  The other night she asked me what would happen if she fell asleep in the tub...I told her I wouldn't let it happen, although I was half asleep sitting next to her on a closed toilet. Crazy conversations at 2 in the morning!  Someone asked me at church tonight if it was crazy at our house (after seeing the kids at dinner), after the past couple nights I am beginning to think we all go a little nuts at night!  Tonight James came down stairs to tell me that he saw a blue light out his window and that it was the Olympics-yes, we are going nuts!
Next on the list to loose it was Becca, James once again is the bearer of bad news, comes down to tell me Becca is crying.  Long story short...and yes it was long, when a book and coffee are calling.  She lied-poor thing was heart broken and had to cleanse her heart so she could sleep.  Well, we will see how long this quiet stretch will last.  I really shouldn't complain, as the boy talks and peer pressures have not even hit yet.
oh...lovely, Sandy just walked in and rolled over and her pink paw pads are BLACK!
