Hard to believe it is that time of year...time to walk the track with the kids. Last year I remember it being the first cold spell of the fall season. Thankfully it was just windy this morning without the cold crisp air that comes with fall. Becca and Andrea were in the first group of kids, K-2nd grade and Brayden ran with the second group 3-5th grades. Not so nice seeing as the kids seem to think I should be there, so it was a entire morning spent out on the track. James hung in there-he was ready to run but realized that after three laps or so it wasn't too much fun...and the complaining/whining started! Thankfully there are lots of little girls who love to drag him along.
The girls surprised me by running more that what I thought they would. They love to chase friends then walk a bit and then take off again. Off course they had to compare laps at the end.
I love seeing these boys together-they have been buds for such a long time. The ran together encouraging and motivating each other for the entire hour. James was done by the time Brayden hit the track. Thankfully some girls convinced James to walk with them. I felt bad because they had to go so slow but they told me they had nothing better to do and it made it fun....I could have run out for a cup of coffee!
21 laps, about the same as last year...both were pretty tired!

Thank you for the awesome pictures of the boys! They have gotten so big and to think that they have known each other since birth! Such good friends!
