A visit from family is always special-anyone willing to drive a good 12 hours to see our crazy bunch means a lot, and when it is Grandma and Grandpa the kids are just thrilled! Ron's parents rolled into town just in time to pick up the kids from school Friday. The kids love seeing them waiting in the car. They arrived with the heat of summer and by the time Saturday rolled around fall had arrived. It was so nice for Ron and I to be able to attend a work BBQ without kids and double bonus...no baby sitter, so rare lately! Satuday we all headed off to the fair-freezing! Thankfully the sun warmed up a bit by the time we reached the rides. Becca's request since seeing the fair rides last week while we attended Disney on Ice was to ride a Ferris wheel. She said she sees them all the time but never had ridden one. She got to enjoy a ride with Brayden and Grandpa and Grandma. Of course the weekend was full with sports/soccer and baseball-but still had time to just relax and enjoy some time together. Dolls, watching Duck Dynasty, tramp fun and tumbling-all things the kids love...mostly just being able to just spend time with Grandma and Grandpa!
