A QUICK UPDATE

Hard to believe that it is time for the Tulsa Tough but it is once again here.  Sad to say I was not able to keep up with my miles this year and was not able to ride with Ron this morning.  Turned out it was a hard morning for both of us.  Ron made 75 miles but ended up in a sag car back to the car...100 miles just wasn't going to happen this morning.  No trips to the ER....thankfully he stopped pushing himself to that point.  Disappointing as it was it really was a beautiful morning to be out and besides for not finishing his goal ride most of the miles Ron did put in were very enjoyable.

No picture from this morning, we were all still in bed when Ron left.  This is a shot from a nice morning I was able to tag along with the Young Life Group.  I do know that I am not into riding with a group of 20-pulling and trying to make the best time is not for me!
The kids were up for racing this afternoon is a short kids race-most fun for all the parents watching.  The race itself is about 1 block long.  James and Andrea went first and Andrea (after all her complaining) won third place.    James just put on his determined face and zoomed to the finish.  I almost missed Becca and Brayden in the second race trying to collect James amongst all the kids.  Brayden got second and was peddling like mad- determined as ever to win.  My sweet Becca was just cruising along, middle of the pack, trying not to smile...not a care in the world where she ended up-what a fun girl.  She told Brayden she didn't want to be in the smoosh line?? (the pack of kids in front)  Brayden told her she needs to watch for a  crack in kids and zoom for it...Becca informed him that that never works for her, and she just likes taking her time.

We have been into summer vacation for a couple weeks-crazy!  Temps have been very mild and Ron was able to take the kids fishing at the aquarium the other night with out sweating to death.  No big cat fish but lots of blue gill.  Of course we were that family that ended up with a nice big cut on the finger from the rope surrounding the pond....after they warn everyone at the beginning of EVERY clinic.

I keep telling myself to enjoy laundry.....well this week it was not working.  The house is a total mess after VBS and I am not treasuring cleaning all these kids clothes.  I am finding it still hard to believe there will be a time where I will miss all these clothes!
