This year I was not able to get tickets to the Russian Nutcracker-a traveling troop that performs for one night here in Tulsa. Next best, or so I thought was the Tulsa Ballet Nutcracker. All the kids was pumped to go this year-including Brayden, all ramped up to see this mouse king. Turned out to not be the greatest rendition, interpretation of the nutcracker. The kids did great considering the whole nutcracker/mouse king story plot line was over within 30min. The entire story received a make-over and was now set in Paris...lets just say not my favorite. The music was a lot of fun and being there with my three kids was very special.
These were taken before heading out the door to the Nutcracker....before James realized he was not going-resulting in a huge fit.
With the sun setting so early we had plenty of time in our evenings. Sunday night we decided to make some Christmas cookies. Lots of fun for the kids...hard for me to let them do their own thing. This year they all did a great job working with the dough and cutting out their cookies, although Andrea did about dump an entire container of sprinkles on her first cookie.
Never a dull moment. Picture was a little delayed due to James falling off his chair-actually fell backwards from sitting atop his chair-I wanted to say "told you so" but hearing his head hit the tile floor changed my reaction.
After school today we headed out to Broken Arrow to watch the local high school band perform on Main Street in preparation for the Rose Bowl Parade. The kids were pretty impressed. Then we decided to visit our favorite Santa-Bass-pro Santa. Free pictures and tons of fun toys to play with. Tonight the kids were even able to make a fun ornament/craft. The girls were focused on writing a letter to Santa while Brayden was all about target shooting and racing the electric cars, definitely a fun stop.
