As we get closer to the end of school and summer it seems harder and harder to keep up with life. Actually, the obligations and schedules increase leaving less time for things we love to do. Planning is ecential for most days and I miss the days I could go with the flow where ever the day lead me. This morning was Becca's Easter picnic. Ron was able to bring the kids in seeing as the party was at a house close to our home, and seeing as Becca never wants to ride with me anyway I decided to just meet them. It was very nice as always with her teacher. Andrea was able to decorate a basket along with the kids and hunt for eggs. The kids had fun playing at a nearby playground till it was time to go. I decided to keep Becca with me and we all headed back to the house for a short rest. James did well all morning, thankfully he had slept late and did not need a mid morning nap. Brayden's class was celebrating his birthday today as his teacher was gone on Friday, so we were off to school with a couple dozen decorated cookies (always an accomplishment figuring out how to get everything and everyone to Brayden's class). We made it inside all cookies intact. Brayden was pretty excited to have the spotlight on him. All his classmates got to ask questions and then after about three rounds of ; What's your favorite color, Fruit, Vegie, Starwar character.....then his teacher and class all pray over him. The kids all loved the cookies but were more excited for the lemonade and root-beer, lots of thirsty kids. Brayden's teacher has such a gentle loving spirit and it just clickes with Brayden who just adores the attention she gives him. It was then off to the Dentist for myself, thankfully Ron was able to come home early from work making things a whole lot easier. Seeing as Becca was then off to Gymnastics and Brayden was able to have some time alone with Ron. Being able to focus on one child can be such a treat. I was able to spend some time with just James tonight while everyone else headed to the library-it was so fun just to sit on the floor and play. James says hi to everything and everyone, including ephie, such a funny little guy. I wish I could say the house chores are done and we are ready for tomorrow but none of those obligations got accomplished today. In fact the grocery store might still be on the list of things to do yet tonight...I think I need to prepare a little better.
One thing learned today-always have cash in the house in case your wallet ends up going to work.
