CHRISTMAS TREE

December is here and I already feel like I am chasing the clock. Brayden has Christmas dress at school today and yesterday I realized I didn't even have any long sleeve dress shirts for him! Besides the list of gifts, Christmas attire and party obligations, decorating the house and tree is something I love, but as usual always feel rushed. I realized today that we will have about 2 weeks to enjoy our tree if we get it now. Of course it is now freezing cold, not the nicest weather to go and cut a tree (okay I can't complain for all you MI people!)-which is something I have always done as well as Ron. Well after feeling a tad time crunched we decided to just run to Home Depot and buy a tree this year. I think we were both not feeling too great about this decision, Brayden informed me on the way there that we at least couldn't get a fake tree. We walked into the gardening department and basically stared at a sad pile of fir trees all tied up. I couldn't believe I had actually considered this, okay it probably wouldn't have been so bad but where was the hot cider, the hayride and the snow?? Needless to say we just all piled back in the car and headed home. Somehow we are just going to have to find time to go cut this tree in the next couple of days....even if it is dark!
Now Ron is up to a new project of making some big light balls to hang outside...we will see (the kids are having fun!)

This is Andrea, she waited while I made dinner till Ron came home tonight to blow out the candle. After all that anticipation it still took her about 20 blows and a lot of spit to get the job done!
One little note, I was telling Brayden tonight that Christmas was not all about him (probably not in the nicest tone) and informed him that Christmas was about others. He promptly looked at me and say " no it's not, it's about GOD" ahhhhh, I am ready to put these kids in bed tonight!
