Christmas Break

Brayden is officially on Christmas break. It is amazing to me all the things his teacher had them complete these past couple of weeks. They made multiple ornaments for trees at school, bulletin boards, gifts for myself, a gingerbread house for display at the local museum along with songs and a complete little Christmas program. This past week I went with his class to the Philbrook museum. It was a lot of fun, although more so for me than for the kids. There was a big display of Christmas tree's all decorated very uniquely by other classes or anyone who wanted to work on one. Then we moved on to the big gingerbread house display, which Brayden's class contributed. It was amazing to see all the fun ideas people had. The kids did as well as 4/5 year olds can do...yes, there was a lot of running around and the museum guard basically followed our class around the exhibits. But we left with everything intact-so a good time, and ended the outing at Mazzio's pizza.

This week Brayden had his Christmas Program. His teacher read the Christmas story while they re-enacted what she was reading. Brayden was the shepherd and spent a lot of time playing with his staff. The fun moment was getting to put a real baby in the manger-one of Brayden's class mates just had a new baby brother.

After their skit they all sat and sang us a bunch of songs. Then it was on to cake and cookies and a little book exchange. As always the girls had a lot of fun watching....and eating. Ron was able to come which Brayden was pretty happy about.

Braydens class has quite a few boys, this was one of the boy tables at mazzio's last week.

Becca had a lot of fun looking at all the gingerbread houses-lots of detail. She was pretty excited because she made a little friend from Brayden's class who always was pretty into this exhibit as well.

Poor Andrea was confined to the stroller-I wasn't about to chase her and try to keep Brayden under control at the same time.....we went through a lot of candy!
