Fall rolls in and that means time for the kids annual Walk-a-thon. It seems it is always the first cold weekend of fall. This year was much of the same but instead of freezing cold and rain we had cool breezes (winds) and sun, just about perfect! I was able to walk with the two younger kids for the first hour and then helped punch cards for the older kids. James told me that he was doing it by himself and that he wasn't going to walk with me this year....so sad, but fun seeing him try to act all grown up. He still did walk a bit with me and I saw him look up and think about asking me to carry him, before pushing on with a little buddy. I stuck with Andrea who actually had a lot of fun running this year. Brayden ran for the entire hour, I don't think he is going to be up for much this afternoon. Becca walked at a leisure pace chatting much of the way-until she realized she only had about two laps and everyone was approaching 10. She did run a bit but in the end just loves taking her own sweet time and doing things at her own pace, with a big old smile on her face-I LOVE IT!
Guess who got some gloves for biking this tues....thanks to the awesome race organizer!
A little chilly start, but they all warmed up pretty quick.
Andrea gave me quite a work-out this morning, all with a smile on her face...shocking!
The boys ready to run!
Just for fun...the same three boys in K4!
The girls coming in for a punch. I think Becca would have still walked with me.
Just a tad tired-he was looking forward to watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this afternoon.
Becca was still goofing around-silly girls.
