A Summer Saturday
Summer is definitely here, this week has been a hot one and we were quickly reminded to stay in during the hot afternoon hours, after being over cooked after an afternoon spent at a pool. Today turned out to be a full day, and after a full day at the pool yesterday I think we are all ready for Sunday. We started the day with a bike ride, next weekend is the Tulsa Tough Ride that I am going to try to hang with Ron....we will see how it goes, I was pretty worn out from the three hours this morning and next weekend is going to be longer....and hotter. Ron was off then to the baseball field for a practice/try-out....interesting to say the least. It was all the best players from each team trying out to be on one team next year...a little nuts, we went for the experience. I think Brayden had fun with the drills-I was the mom who sent her son in shorts (low key right?) while everyone else was in baseball gear, of course they made them practice sliding ( I forget this is a crazy sports town). Of course the first hot weekend Ron has the yearly Geological Society Picnic. There were lots of Ribs and shrimp, Ron cleaned up the ribs and I did the same for the shrimp. The kids had fun in the bouncy house as there were not a lot of kids-even James got in and had fun bouncing. Both Ron and I were pretty done as we left the picnic and after picking up a slip-n-slide to occupy the kids we were planning on doing a whole lot of nothing for the evening. Would you know we pulled up and saw our neighbor had been to the waste dump and picked us up a full pick-up load of mulch. We had requested some Mulch when we found out he was going but didn't think he was going so late in the day. My trouper husband sweated some more putting mulch around our house and neighbors. What a Day! The kids are still full of it....I think they could run wild tonight....whose doing bedtime??? don't look for us parents, you would find Ron and I sacked out in the living room.
I keep forgetting to post this picture-James just loves the maraca's and carry's them around yelling. He is such a silly guy sometimes.
