The Summer is officially here

We have been to the library twice, enjoyed the splash pad and have had lots of fun in our neighbor's pool.  It has been a wonderful week.  We are loving having our own little schedule. The kids seem to enjoy have a little structure to the day but today we decided to have a full of fun day.  We spent the morning at the park along riverside, with lots of moms and little ones.  Thankfully the kids are old enough that they are no longer darting away, James is not quite that fast on his feet.  After a quick rest, we enjoyed a neighborhood pool party.  The kids are by far the youngest but the family's are great with little ones and my kids had a blast.  It is amazing to see how fast they grow, just last year I was worrying about having to nurse a little one at the pools, now I am just trying to keep a hold of James.  I am realizing that Brayden is getting older as well and seeing a little more of an age gap between him and the other kids.  Becca and Brayden love to play together but Brayden can't hang with Andrea like Becca still can.  Most all the free activities through-out town are geared toward 6 and under and usually end up being for little ones.  Brayden does well coming along and being a helper, I am loving seeing him develop and losing some of his demanding attitude...hard to believe but I am starting to see a little more of his heart ( I know he cares but nice to see him show it a little more to others!)

Becca and Andrea loved the hot tub, Brayden was all about playing basketball and jumping off the diving board.  James just was in and out of the water-all over.  The kids need to learn to swim but I can't watch them very well with James so life-jackets it is.

James just LOVES animals.  He try's to love on kitty but she usually swats at him. Ephie is slowing down and tolerates his attention.  Today all he wanted to do was play with this puppy, even when it ate his toes-too cute!

Try not to cringe when Becca goes-she was so proud of her twist I didn't have the heart to criticize and tell her she needed to jump further out.
