TIME JUST FLYS

I am having a hard time remembering what we all did this weekend.  This seems kind of crazy because I do remember being exhausted...but what from??  Funny how just hanging out with the kids seems to wear me down.  We did manage to get up all the ornaments on the tree.  The kids could hardly wait to get their box of ornaments and hang them up.  So far Brayden is the master pickle hider....{a tiny green pickle ornament, perfect for hiding-the kids love this game}.  Ron managed to get up the Christmas lights and leaves raked before the Arctic air blew in (with more leaves)....okay maybe not Arctic for our MI friends and family but pretty cold for OK.

Today was a great day, we started with a wonderful  Christmas service and church and ended the day by a nice and cozy fire.  I can tell the kids are slowly growing....I still seem to pick up, clean, find endless stuff.....but today we did managed a game of skip-BO.  Always fun to play something other than Go Fish or Memory. Believe it or not they are actually learning some Christmas Carols and today in church Becca actually sang Amazing Grace with us-so special to hear her voice singing such a meaningful song.

This afternoon was Ron's last CX race.  It was plenty cold but short and sweet-at least  for us watching.  Ron did great except for his chain falling off as he approached the finish line.  Brayden did one last ride for the season as well.  My big accomplishment for the weekend was sewing on new backpack zippers for Ron's field crew backpack, not something I care to tackle ever again (much worse than the endless laundry) but seeing as it has been about 6 months and Ron was still asking...to point of asking for a sewing lesson I figured I better sit and get it done.  On we go to another week filled with Christmas anticipation.
