It has been a rainy weekend which in it's own is kind of nice. The kids are happy to just play inside. Brayden is all about doing his lego's and getting to play computer....something that I have been telling him that it is just too nice to do lately. Becca just loves hanging out and just never stops talking, weather it's about her babies or this morning about pinkie who has been gone for at least half a year she always has something on her mind. Andrea is my constant shadow and I think folded socks with me for 45mins last night all the while talking, talking and talking. Brayden did manage to have his baseball game on Sat, the girls and I decided to stay inside out of the cold and wet, which didn't seem to bother him any. The kids did head out with Ron to a pool which is always a big hit-even bigger for me as I was able to get a couple hours to myself.
It was so nice to all be in church together today, and even better to be reminded of where our contentment and joy comes from. After a week of feeling a little lost in the world of motherhood particular stay at home motherhood. It was wonderful to be reminded of how individuality is God sent and that it is okay to feel a little short with all the expectations that seemed to creep up on me this week. I would like to know who puts out those expectations anyway!! And are they really supposed to make us happy when we complete them??? Thank goodness my father is the only one who can fill my needs and is completely happy with the person I am! (Which might not be the perfect housewife....and which thankfully also doesn't seem to bother my family). Thanks to Paul and a wonderful teacher this morning to get things back on track.
Okay, so sleep is pretty peaceful for everyone in our house right now!
