Today I picked up Becca from her Monday morning bible class and she kept asking me if she could go to her friends house and watch a wedding video. Turns out her little girlfriend loves watching her parents wedding video and had talked it up with Becca during class. So tonight I found our video and we all sat down to watch it. It was so fun to watch and listen to the kids comment through-out. Brayden kept thinking some of the early pictures of Ron were him as a child were him. Becca wanted to know if I still had my dress and why I didn't get it out today and wear it. Most of all both Becca and Brayden were concerned about who they were going to marry-they finally decided they were going to marry each other, although Becca was not too sure because Brayden won't play tea party with her. Brayden informed us that he wasn't going to be living at the house with us any more and he would need driving lessons in order for him to come visit us. The comment to end the evening was when Becca looked at me and asked "Mommy-do you still respect daddy??" Hmmmm guess I need to be more obvious or deliberate, although I am not quite sure she knows exactly what respect means seeing as saying "YES MOMMY" is currently expected if the kids are to show respect (which doesn't happen too much since the holiday).
Anyway, thanks to our friends for some very fun, cheap, somewhat insightful entertainment tonight.
