SOMETHING NEW

This afternoon Ron headed out in the rain to his first cyclocross race. He has been talking about this sport for a while and finally decided to give it a try. He had re-worked his mountain bike and even though it wasn't a cycle cross bike it worked pretty well in the mud. From what I can gather they ride for about 45 minutes a race, this one had two set of barriers and one mammoth hill. Ron managed the barriers which look easy but with speed, timing and clips can be tricky. I unfortunately was unable to go along and cheer, not really part of the plan, he had a great but exhausting time.

These are just a couple pictures of the top riders. Ron road with the Cat4 riders and actually managed to come in eighth out of eighteen....he thought he was dead last, a nice thing at the conclusion of the race.

The huge hill, Ron managed to ride it once but soon found it was about just as fast to run the bike.

My very brave husband, willing to give something new a try and doing an awesome job!
I am sure he will have the technical data shortly!
