Another Typical Morning

It amazes me how I can have no plans for the day and somehow time just clicks away. This morning was once again one filled with the very mundaness of mommyhood. We were off running out the door by 7:50, five minutes late-although both girls were actually dressed today complete with shoes. Ron chose this morning with a low of 32 to bike in, he must enjoy his time to himself! I on the other hand had three kids dressed, made a total mess of the kitchen with breakfast and lunches by 7:30, oh, yes I did remember to take ephie out of her crate this morning! After a quick stop at the grocery store with one less kid, seeing as it is one of the only stores open at 8am-what's wrong with everyone, must be nice not to work till 9! Back to the house it is where I am greeted by the disaster of a crazy morning-how can I be so messy! and so starts the day. Once again I wonder, how many times I will have to empty the dishwasher in my lifetime???? Thankfully I have friends and family who put up with my phone calls which break up the endless laundry, and cleaning. Thankfully today the sun is shining so we are able to make our daily walk around the block. Ephie was in much need of getting out seeing as we are having work done on the outside of our house putting her on edge for most of the day...I really think she would go through the glass if she really wanted!

I am so thankful for my two wonderful girls-yes they fight, and whine but for the most part they are great at entertaining themselves. Today Andrea discovered some hats, which after 2 years should be packed up with the baby stuff but aren't-and really whats the point if there is another little one on the way!

Becca loves her "family" as she calls her little bears. Currently Blackie is the baby in the family. We have now added a new term that is NOT ALLOWED in our house. Usually, I find my self yelling due to excessive whining or grumbling. Today I found myself sending Becca to her room and saying.....AND NO SAYING "HUMPH"...I don't really know what this classifies as but she has gotten really good at saying humph, whenever she is mad.

We did get to do some baking this morning, not part of our normal routine but always a little crazy and fun with the two. Part of the whole school thing, we are one the list for providing goodies after Brayden's thanksgiving program tomorrow.

This is the girls favorite part.
