Holidays

David had just stuffed hay down Brayden's jacket and he was not too happy!

It seems that the holidays are just one big blur. We were so excited for Thanksgiving to come and now we are already planning for Christmas. We decided to get our tree right away this year so we have some time to enjoy it, before heading to MI. We have managed to find a Christmas tree farm-little more of a hard find than where both Ron and I grew up. Sad to say the farm is up for sale...so if anyone is looking to get into the Christmas tree business look up Woodland Tree farm in Skiatook! It was a lot of fun-cold, but no snow or ice like some of the years past. We took David along who seemed bent on finding the PERFECT tree, I on the other hand just like to find one...even if it is the first one I see, cut it and move on out, I think Ron enjoyed all David's input! The kids just have fun running and hiding in between all the tree's. Andrea was fascinated with Ron cutting the tree and I think would have crawled under the tree just to figure out what Ron was doing under there. After a hayride and feeding the goats we drove out with a nice big tree on our roof. (I might make a little note that my mom was almost put through the tree binder--you never know what my brother is going to do!)

After all the excitement we decided to decorate later. Ron took Brayden to the BMX races, which are a pretty big event here every Thanksgiving weekend. Mom and Dad headed back to MI this morning and unfortunately only drove about one hour before hitting snow. David is also headed back to his home in Bozeman early tomorrow. It was a great time having him around, although Brayden was not a very happy camper when David beat him a Chutes and Ladders. Tonight we put up some lights and ornaments-each kids was so fun to watch. Andrea just kept walking around and around the tree with her little ornament. Becca spent her time looking at her ornaments but didn't really hang any. Brayden was determined to have his hung right at eye level, his eye level. It was crazy with three kids, touching the lights, dragging them around the house, trying to plug them in to see if they work, touching the ornaments-the breakable ones. I think I am going to finish decorating during nap time!
