The Sting Rays-Baseball

Last night closed a chapter in Brayden's baseball book.  Such a blessing to him and our family.  Yes it was a lot of time but so worth every moment. The team has reached the end of the Jenks youth league.  Many of the boys are entering high school next year and so the time has come for the stingrays to close.  Somehow...God was looking over Brayden/our family , Brayden ended up being placed on the Sting Ray team in kindergarten.  No one from our school, just a random team.  God knew!  These families became like our family-ski trips together, camping trips together and just a lot of time spent hanging out relaxing.  Brad has not just been a baseball coach for Brayden but a mentor placed in bBrayden's life for a reason.  He has been a constant cheering section for Brayden in life always positive always pushing and encouraging-perfect for those growing years.  The girls were always surrounded with other girls and buddies watching the game-creating friendships you can't always find. Last night was the final game for this team-such a sad moment but so fulfilling to look over the years and see the growth these boys have shown.  Such a great group of boys and even greater group of families.

So there is a trip down memory lane......
Brayden's first year in t-ball....only year without Brad and not being a stingray, a Kangaroo.

Through the years of playing-always intense and always ready to make a play.

Brad already pumping those boys up and teaching them to love the game.

I met these moms...families pregnant with James and then the first season he was a newborn, out on the fields where he now plays!

Yup....thats James, finishing his year of baseball with some big hits.

These girls...so many little games of kickball and hours of talking.

The next buddies in baseball...now just to get them on the same team.

From sometimes pitching....to catching, third base and outfield brayden has had many positions.

All the ladies...such a wonderful group of women.

Brad and Brayden last game...such a great coach, made all the boys love the game!

The core four!  All together since kindergarten ball.

They have grown....just a bit!

This is just too much....the last cheer!!  GO STINGRAYS  (yes, they beat their big rivalry the knights in the final game with 11 runs!)
