Sometimes Its The Little Things

It is the little things that make my day...or break it.  This morning is was realizing that I had accomplished the impossible-FOUR parent teacher conferences scheduled back to back...on the same day!  WHOOHOO.  Small accomplishment but it made me smile this morning.  Yesterday it was James coming to me and saying, "Did you know that I have Scottish clothes?"  What??  I followed him up stairs with the other kids, who also don't have a clue what Scottish clothes look like and were just as curious as I was.  I was wondering where he had found a Scottish kilt??  James proudly pulled out his winter clothes drawer and pulled out a plaid shirt and then another with a huge grin on his face.   The other kids were a bit confused but played along.  These little moments are the best.  Little things are can break a day are a stuck sprinkler valve-thankful someone took note of this little thing before leaving the house.  Something as little as the Capacitor in a pool pump can shut down the entire pool filtration system.  There is always something to learn!  Little things matter...math facts, so simple so little-MATTER.  We are becoming math fact pro's, or at least trying.  Brayden conquers with ease and Becca plugs away, math facts at breakfast, math facts in the car, math facts before school.  Little things can become big things. Three days a week we set our school goal 30min early to arrive at school so Becca can conquer these Math facts-and she is. Seems like a pain when the alarm goes off but getting 30min of alone time with James in the car can be lots of fun. These little moments are time to practice.  Who knew the little sound TH can be so important.  Try counting to 20 and saying thirteen and then fourteen when you articulate an f sound for TH.  The inability to articulate correctly puts a big kink in our number learning.  The day keeps plugging along-little thing after little thing, till the day is done and all these little things have left me full and tired.  Next on my list this morning is to rid myself of a little smell...a big smell.  The little accomplishment of getting supper going thing morning cost me to be the mom sitting in Grandparents Chapel smelling like onions...so little but such a big smell.

It was Metro Bash this Friday...complete with rain in the forecast as always.  We lasted 40min before it had to be shut down due to lightening.

Metro Bash-Bubble ball were and huge hit.  I was a little concerned for any one around Brayden-it was all on!
James  is still my buddy-a little concerning but I will take it.  He always wants me in his sights at these large events and is content to just walk around holding me hand-totally opposite from the other kids who I spent a good deal of time looking for when things were shutting down.

Funniest thing was to see Andrea on her head with little feet in the air.  We all thought she was stuck but she was just having fun being able to stand on her head.

Seeing these two come alive on the field is so fun...okay is really is always fun with they score but seeing the grin after is just the best.

James is all rough and tumble, he never stops running.
