I am not doing well at documenting James first baseball season. Not really a whole lot of excuses, other than multiple rain out games and the games themselves are hard to photograph. It is a free for all as to who gets the ball-tackling is still evolved. James favorite position to play is first. After he is usually reminded that he has to STAY on first and not run across half the field to get the ball he usually does pretty well. The strategy is get the ball to first and then the first baseman throws it home. It is fun to play first because you actually get to touch the ball. James loves to stand there and YELL loudly for the ball.
These coaches are the best, it is all about corralling the kids. They all want to play but at this age they never stop moving. They are never standing still-the outfield is like a bunch of little jumping beans all moving around. The goal-to get them to see the ball and then throw it.
Run, James RUN! Oh thats right you can only run one base per hit. It doesn't bother James, he is the one out there leading off, looking for the steal.
Another score-yes, everyone bats...no outs. James is convinced they cream every team they play. Actually just matters he has the most players.
Turtle Season. When we bike we see plenty turtles lately-most of them smashed flat. This guy decided to visit the garage the other morning, little did he know he wouldn't be leaving so quickly. The red box turtle was released-to pretty to keep and wasn't eating.
