Turtles
My kids are obsessed!! All they think about is turtles. It began when summer started and Ron found a turtle biking. The turtle saga continued through the summer-they were lost, found and then lost again. Special turtle catching nets were made and outings were had. The last turtle to have to endure the kids over zealous care taking caught a break after a couple days when they decided it was just too big, so he was released. I thought with fall and school approaching the turtle obsession would slowly fade, I was wayyyy wrong. Brayden discovered "Turtle Shack" a web site all about turtles and supplies, selling anything and everything you would need for a turtle...including the turtles, and what do you know???? they are cheap, and the kids have summer chore money burning a hole in their pockets. Well, after listening to endless turtle talk, reasoning, we decided that really, in the grand scheme of things how bad are a couple turtles?-so we ordered three. I thought this might curb some of the turtle talk-but now it just increased, with questions. I think I liked more of the random thought and facts they would come up with than questions. Brayden even researched UPS delivery?? AHHH every waking moment that is all he talked about! Well, today was the big day-delivery. What do you know---UPS was late!! Great just more time for endless talk about turtles and questions regarding shipping and UPS. Finally after waiting and waiting Ron spotted the truck coming down the rode. I think Braydens friend- over to play, thought they were all crazy, jumping at the fence screaming at the UPS truck. What a time, they are pretty cute. I am just thankful they all arrived alive!
If you ask James about the turtles, this is what he will tell you. I am not sure what kid told him this but he takes it pretty seriously.

Wow! It looks like madness at your house with all the turtles. I can't imagine mom ever letting us order turtles! Crazy how they arrive in little containers, it looks like they were pretty happy to get out and stretch their legs.
