Becca finished up her soccer season with a pool party and a movie...I think the girls watched the entire movie in the pool!
Ignite week at church....kids were put into groups to compete for the week.
Always off the high dive during warm ups. Kind of wierd only having to take one to lessons and not have to push a stroller up the huge hill or have a pile of shoes and towels to keep track of...I felt old with this crowd of moms!
Church has some changes this summer and to kick it off they had a picnic with a bake-off and blow-ups/water slides. Andrea won for best cake....Grandma H's chocolate cake.
Becca won for best brownies
My crew for the summer.
Time always made for crafts...this afternoon the kids made a bunch of play dough. I am now totally out of salt! The other day they asked for more popcicle sticks...I think they went through a pack of 1000
Pool has been in full use already...we enjoyed a fun evening with our small group families and this monday Becca had over 30 kids over for their weekly class bible study. It is really they only way to stay cool during the summer....pools and snow cones!
Friday night watching Tulsa Tough crit racers...one crash right in front of us at the finish line-some pretty unhappy riders.
Brayden was off early the next morning before Ron and I headed out for our long ride...a passenger van filled with middle school kids all headed to Wyoming for the week.
Ron lasted till about mile 80...I finished and managed fourth in my age group (only 20 females did the 100mile)
Sunday we all rode the 5mile family ride around downtown and then watched the pro's race along riverside and crybaby hill. It is a super hard course and we saw some great riders...even better was that we scored some seats under a tent at the bottom of the hill in site of the big screen. The only downside was the fact that the snow cone people ran out of ice before we could get any!
It was the Pawnee Bill Wild West Show this past weekend as well. I love this small town bit of history they work at keeping and teaching.
James thought it was pretty funny they names this bull Howdy.
They get out the old stage coaches, lots of trick riding, rope tricks and just fun races with horses. Pawnee bill lived here in Pawnee and learning about the history behind his life and his traveling show is always very interesting.
They also had an 11 year old girl come out and trick ride...her grandma was sitting behind us in the stands. So fun to hear and watch.
This video is funny because the family in front were locals and cheering on their cousin....they kids were so fun to watch.
