Quick update

Falling so far behind.....but I we all enjoy looking back over the years and seeing pics of the everyone.  So a fast/quick update.  Somehow I missed an entire season.  Brayden and James both did basketball this winter.  A learning experience for both.  Brayden's first school team sport, complete with tryouts and a school coach.  James played with his buddies from school for the first time.  Both had lots of fun although Brayden learned the game is a lot of learning/memorizing plays.  Girls were back at tumbling for a bit this winter.  The gym had a bigger building...a longer tumble track and more fun in the foam pit.

A dad took pics at the games....otherwise impossible for me to get shots at an indoor basketball game.

Sadly no photograher at James' games.  I wish I could show how hard he plays.  He ran the court with all his energy including his face.  He is intense but is always thinking at the same time.

It is warming up but we have spent a lot more time inside the past couple month.  Always a battle to limit electronics...between utube/crafts/x-box and phones it is always a chore.  We did break out some puzzles which were a lot of fun.  The did fnally make some bluebird boxes, which I am still waiting for some blue birds to discover.

Don't let pics fool you....always hard lately to get everyone on board doing activities together.  I remember pics growing up of the teenager scowling in the background-it is still a struggle.

Valentines day has come and gone...special to remember those you love but always a little something more thrown into an already busy schedule.  Andrea used her 1st grade valentine bucket for the last time this year.
 These never last long!

no lobster but red meat....as requested.

Time again for the first grade three piggy opera....our last one!  Brayden missed doing this fun little play but all the other kids have done it.  James was the straw pig and did a good job looking scared.

The girls have done lots of jumping on the tramp and are always thinking of something to craft-the fairy village is ready to head out to the rock garden along with a bunch of painted rocks.

Playdates and making bathbombs never get old for becca

Fun celebrations for 10th birthdays gave Andrea a special trip to the American Girl Doll store in Dallas with a couple friends.

Always a chance to volunteer.  Brayden's basketball team helping provide food snacks after school for a school we now partner with.  Crazy the needs these kids/schools have and no one to provide or help out.

Presidents weekend we took off to Dallas.  A great couple days to take a break from the schedule and home routine.  A bit rainy and cold but still a lot of fun. We adventured out to a ropes course.  we were about the only ones there giving us a lot of time!

A visit to the museum of Nature and Science-a very fun floor on oil and drilling.

Now we are moving into spring sports-soccer and baseball. Metro Christian finally has a middle school team and the boys are loving having the chance to play together.  So fun to see the boys play together.

Next week Becca is off to her first Day away with her band.  An entire day for local 6th grade bands-over 80 kids and at the end of the day they are all going to perform.  The days just keep rolling.  Team Young life biking is getting back at it and Ron is out riding.  Last weekend he tackled training camp with the guys and logged over 100 miles for the weekend...without getting sick!!
