Catching up. Halloween

Just a quick post as it has been a while and I need to get these pictures on the blog or they will be lost on out depths of phone pics!  I wasn't too sure about Halloween.  Becca and Brayden are about done...or so I thought.  Turned out Becca was planning her costume about a month in advance.  Good thing she loves to be creative.  She was all set to be the Mouse from the book, If you give a mouse a cookie.  James was right on board with planning and was determined to be almonzo.  I loved this-all their ideas.  We had listened to farmer boy this summer, kind of funny because no one knew who he was and kept giving him a hard time about being a person from the olden times.  Andrea came up with the candy princess  Vanellope von Schweetz from wreck-it ralph.  I think she just want to wear candy in her hair. Turned out Brayden didn't care that no friends were along he was in it for the candy!  It was a nice night out.  Turned out I kind of like the kids getting older-almost like a nice little mini-date walk for Ron and I through some really neat neighborhoods.

Pumpkin carving was just the day before...turns out if you want till the very end you can get some pretty big pumpkins for pretty cheap!!

They all had their own ideas and all carved their own this year...except james.  Andrea was so fun and had it in her head that she was doing balloons.

All set to head out for the night.  Yes, becca made sure she had cookies to pass out.  Brayden is the ever original pro skate boarder.

We have three families with kids by our house and we all tick or treat our little street.  The people all know we are coming...we are usually their only trick or treaters.  This lady makes bags for each of the kids and then calls us parents before asking if we want white or red wine!

Another fun year trick or treating the dead end street below our house.
Then we decided to head down the road and trick or treat with some friends...turned out to be fun and actually relaxing.  Kids found other kids and enjoyed running around together while us parents got to just walk and talk.
Last we hit up a couple houses in our old neighborhood.  So fun to see our babysitter home for halloween-a great surprise!!  One of the first Halloween we didn't see her in costume.
