I don't think the weather has truly felt like fall but the air conditioning has been off for two straight days and I am hoping we are finally going to enjoy a change of seasons! Halloween has come and gone. The candy is still around...I think more wrappers than candy. I have quit hounding the kids as to how much they eat, although eating after you brush you teeth is still a no no! I think I am eating more than they are! Pumpkin carving was a quite an event-planned late but still turned out fun. Jenks homecoming was the night we were free but we missed a couple friends due to the parade and festivities....I am thinking we are needing to checkout all the fun next year, sounds like a good old fashioned home coming parade-lots of fun. Anyway, we had a fire...sweated by the fire and did a little carving-just the basics -I find they just want to light a candy and see the thing glow.
A little marshmallow roast.
Kitty ears for the kitty
Boys!!
Neighbors came and hung out...so fun, they decided to do their own carving the next night. I should have taken a picture...their son James had a pumpkin with a machete sticking out of it!
Yes...this is us-our nieghbors from our old neighborhood stopped by to spoil the kids with candy and needed a picture of all of us. She sent it to me and I realized that we really don't have one of all of us either-so here it is!
The kids had plenty celebrations...another was a church with a costume/fall party wednesday night. Yes...Brayden and Hudson decided to add Tutu's for a silly touch.
We had fun trick or treating the dead end street with the neighbors. I loved that they all wait for our kids...I think we are the only kids that go around to them.
The neighborhood crew.
We completed the night at a new neighborhood with great friends. It was soooo hot every younger kids was having a melt down with costumes and needing water-dying of thirst, I was out in shorts and flip flops!!!
James is the only one who gives me candy...even if its the ones he doesn't like. He was all excited to sort his candy.
All happy campers with their candy stash!!
This is my growing girl!! I love seeing the kids grow...even if they can be a pain! She had a Biztown interview this past week. She was most concerned about what she was going to wear.
She is still so sweet and ready to please and help but had a little stubborn tough streak in her...tends to come out around Brayden and sometimes in Soccer. This week she was all about hanging tough and attacking, which made for a fun game to watch.
She is all lefty when she plays-kind of fun because it takes most defenders by surprise.
Andrea tried out defense this week and found out she could play that position pretty well. I love this picture...she is off to score but the best is her team mate taking off to give her a pass, I love seeing the girls slowly learn the game.
James just loves to play...he hates to be kicked and pushed but loves attacking getting the ball. I think its because he never gets it from Brayden.
