Most cool thing I have seen in a long time-these things are so big and thought we were going to feed them.
We learned how the lemon sharks are more sneaky and mean than the bull sharks. I loved that our aquarium has a goal to educate and stick to science-who ever though you could be a marine biologist in Ok!?
These holding tanks were huge and fun to get up close to the fish. I have never seen so much instant ocean and filters...and I thought staying on top of one filtration system was work!
The sea turtle exhibit has been in the building process-so fun to hear about everything it takes to build it and then be able to walk in it before the tank is filled up with water.
LET US PLAY...AND BE CRAZY LOUD
Super fun-thanks to some great friends for an awesome tour!
The week was a bit cool and rainy but somehow it didn't seem to bother the kids, Tulsa is a great place to be with so many different things to do and see-even in yucky weather. We didn't even venture out to the zoo or participate in the many free activities the garden club was putting on during the week. We did learn about bugs at one local garden center. Andrea loved learning about lady bugs and how the center releases them to eat all their aphids. We did make use of the cheap movie theater-always nice on rainy days, turned out big Hero 6 was actually half way entertaining. Becca has kept the craft table busy although has spent a good portion of her free time creating things with Lego's. It Turned out that I could still play with my indoor soccer group-who gladly welcomed Brayden along for the hour. When I asked how he liked playing with us old ladies he told me he wished I would take him out of school every Friday so he could play. So fun to be able to play with him. The weather slightly cleared Friday afternoon and we were able to get the bikes out and enjoy getting out. Even James was determined to not ride with me but on his own bike, I think he just wanted to wear his biking gloves. Relaxed days, late nights ( although James is a bit worn out trying to keep up all week)....All in all it was a great week-even if we were home. Amazing to me how things get easier as the kids get older.
neighborhood fun
I should have known our week was going to be anything but planned as we started off the break dealing with a lost kitty. After not returning for two days and thinking she was lost or eaten by the local fox or gazillion owls that keep me up every night. Sandy decided to she had had enough of the cold and rain. She was discovered crying LOUDly under the porch. Down pouring rain, mud, dismantling brinks and small places....what a crazy evening. I was super glad to have her back, along with everyone else.
