A little updating

Seems a bit since I have posted...although I am not quite sure where the time goes!  I am not doing well at taking pictures lately, just hanging out with the kids keeps us on our toes.  This week the kids took an evening sports camp at a nearby church.  The girls took cheer and Brayden did soccer-even though all his baseball buddies were in baseball-his choice!  I think Brayden was ready for an all out workout for the three hours and was a bit disappointed the first day.  Thankfully they starting scrimmaging and all was well.  To say the girls loved it would be an understatement.  They loved the cheer and then had almost just as much fun learning the songs and motions they sang during the large group time....it was a really fun substitute for VBS this year.  After full days of friends (so excited to spend time with old neighborhood friends this past week!) and swimming the kids were pretty beat, but not tired enough to ask to stay up and catch firefly's almost every night.

This was the kids favorite song-the girls loved showing me the motions.

Yesterday we spend the day hanging out at the pool with friends, these little guys took over this end of the pool-they were having so much fun.  James loves having his buddy Oliver around-he has been trying so hard to keep us with the big kids this week but after having two afternoons with Becca and Brayden and friends this was a welcome afternoon for him.

This week we got up early and headed off to pick blackberries and blueberries.  We came home with just blackberries.  The kids took one look at the blueberries bushes and said they wanted to pick berries in MI...way too small, and if you know me I don't have to be convinced not to pick!  They had a ton of fun with the blackberries.  I kept hearing James yell-JACK POT everytime he found a bunch of ripe ones.

last weekend we headed out to Woolaroc.  A preserve for wildlife, the family land of Frank Phillips which he as since donated and made available for visitors.  You can see buffalo, and many other animals.  It was kid fest and was going to be a super fun day of exploring, crafts and activies....until the rain moved in.  We were able to unload see all the festivites walk towards the fun and then were told to head to the museum as storms were approaching.  I have to say we did the museum in depth!  Mr Phillips was a collector of all things Western, Native American, Oil and Airplanes, what a stuff!  I think we were stuck in there for almost two house.  Then were we finally made it out all the tents were down so we headed to the petting barn, only to get stuck inside for another downpour.  By now the day was done.  We ended the day walking by his home-used mainly for entertainment and catching baby frogs which had come out with all the rain.

This was the overlook from his house...He held some huge parties!

This was in his home???

I think Ehpie was actually laying on Sandy who I think was purring...silly animals
