WHAT A WHIRLWIND

Today was one one of those days that just seem to fly by. It was the first day of school and we were off for the opening Assembly by 10am. It was a nice morning, Ron and the kids made some delicious pancakes for my birthday and not having to rush out the door by 7:30 was a huge bonus. Brayden was all set and spent much of the morning asking when we were leaving, if we were going to be late, when did his class start.....I think he was ready to go. Becca did great getting dressed, including her shoes. I think she would prefer to wear flip-flops during the middle of winter if she had a choice, but was still relaxed and okay hanging out before heading out to school. It was a lot of fun seeing the kids get excited seeing their friends again from their previous class once we got to school. Brayden just gets a goofy grin whenever some little buddy would run by and yell, HEY BRAYDEN. Brayden sang his heart out during chapel and proudly said the pledges. Becca watched with big eyes, I had to remind her that it is okay to try new things, as she is very happy sitting back and watching. When I dropped the kids off in their classes both just went right on in. Becca litterly ran in without even looking at me. I was not the mom prying her kids off her.....I was the mom chasing her little girl wanting one last hug-which she did give me. Neither had much to say when I picked them up, except that they had a great day and according to Becca, loved EVERYTHING!

My Bunch ready to head off to school. Andrea was upset because she had to go to the Doctor after we dropped the older kids off. I shouldn't have said anything as she spent the better half of the morning crying. Funny thing was that once we got there she was a little show off for the Doctor and Nurse-no tears. Andrea is right on tract-50% in all category's. James is my big guy-90th percentile in height and weight, but typical of my kids-20th percentile in head circumference. Andrea surprised me and was almost smiling when she got her shot-I really don't think she knew what was coming. James screamed, but what do you except with three vaccinations!
My Kindergartner-all set for class.

The bunch sitting in the auditorium waiting for the day to start. My favorite part is the look on the kids faces when all the teachers parade in, they can't wait to see theirs.

My big girl all set to go-not nervous at all, not even serious. She was very determined and set that she knew exactly what to do and where to go.

A little smile

Off she went, I put the camera down and she was gone!

Brayden and his class

Mrs Stubblefield.

Thanks to Ron for a GREAT ice-cream cake! Yes, we did even make it out to dinner. A fun Hibachi restaurant-great food and easy entertainment for the kids, although Andrea was not too thrilled with all the fire.

One year older....and with this crew, I definitely do feel older.
