This was first putting the kids on the ice-funny, funny...but everyone around was falling and sliding around-everyone was just laughing and laughing.

We have been trying to think of something special to do for Becca's birthday, you would think that this time of year it would be easy but we didn't have a lot of ideas. Well, we had the most fun tonight and it required probably the least amount of planning for any outing. We headed to down town and took the kids on a horse and buggy ride. The city of Tulsa has a new big arena-the BOK Center and for the holidays they have put up a small ice-rink along with horse carriage rides and hot chocolate at it's entrance. Becca was so excited to ride in the wagon, it was all decorated with lights and she just hung her head over the side and watched the horses the entire time. Andrea would look through the slates of the wagon, see the horses and just get the biggest grin on her face. Brayden was interested in how the Driver made the horses stop and go, and was pretty excited when they would speed up going through and intersection. It was TON'S of fun - The kids were beaming!
We then decided to give ice skating a try, after getting skates that fit the kids they were off, or should I say they were on their "behinds" They were such good sports and spent most of the time just laughing, falling, laughing, falling. Andrea was mad she was not in on the action and was most happy when Ron zoomed around the rink with her in his arms. Brayden actually managed some forward movement on his own and had lots of fun spinning with Ron. Becca had a perpetual grin on her face-what a great evening!

I love the holidays, having a fire, reading books and playing games are just so fun when you can do it surrounded by Christmas lights.

The birthday girl-showing off her new socks and bow from Aunt Sharon and Uncle Kevin (I am sure he helped picked them out). Oh, and yes she posed herself.
